Our Principles

Public Benefit

Our work is directed towards education, public safety, sustainable development and the wider interests of the community.

Responsible Innovation

We promote technology that is practical, transparent, proportionate and mindful of its social consequences.

Professional Integrity

We value competence, fairness, independence, accountability and respect for professional responsibilities.

Evidence and Learning

We support research, objective information, continuous learning and responsible knowledge-sharing.

Human Responsibility

AI should support professional judgement and informed decision-making. It should not be presented as a substitute for human responsibility, statutory duties or professional accountability.

Collaboration

We believe meaningful progress is achieved when professionals, educators, researchers, technology organisations, businesses, public authorities and communities work together.
